What you will learn
As humans, we are still heavily dependent on natural resources for our activities, work and survival. However, their massive use leads to exhaustion and has irreversible negative consequences for our climate and the well-being of our planet. To avoid disastrous consequences for our society, we must focus on a more sustainable future by drastically reducing our need for natural resources and moving towards a circular economy.
During the programme you will learn to become an Applied Sustainability Manager: a highly qualified professional who can contribute added value to a company or institution beyond the boundaries of his own field of applied knowledge and has specialised and interdisciplinary knowledge of different industries including energy, water and logistics, agribusiness, food, fashion, health care, urban development and mobility. Some of the bigger modules are:
- Sustainable Entrepreneurship
Cultivate the ability to launch and manage businesses that prioritize sustainability, focusing on creating ventures that positively impact the environment while being economically viable. - Sustainable business innovation
Learn to develop and implement groundbreaking sustainable practices that redefine existing business models and drive industry-wide changes, ensuring your organization stays ahead in the sustainability curve. - Transformation in organisations
Master the skills needed to lead transformative change within organizations, promoting a culture of sustainability and effectively managing transitions towards greener and more ethical operations.
Our innovative approach that pays off
As more and more organizations worldwide (companies, NGOs, governments) focus on a transition to a sustainable future, there is a greater need for researchers, innovators and experts who can shape and drive the transition to a circular economy. In the Dutch labor market alone, the demand for sustainability professionals has doubled in recent years and is expected to increase significantly in the coming years.
Upon completion of this Master programme, you’ll have the skills and competencies needed to pursue a career as a:
- Sustainability analyst
identify challenges and opportunities - Circular Economy Consultant
stakeholder and user analysis, feasibility studies - Sustainability Project Manager
understand and lead sustainable projects - Sustainability Consultant
multi-channel marketing - Sustainability Business Developer
business models, finance & law - Entrepreneur in the sustainable sector
Lead or advise others in sustainable innovations
